Vocabulary 2

Stash (V): to store in a usual secret place for the future use.
Orginal sentence: Courage, I seemed to think, comes to us in a finite quantities, like an inheritance, and by being a frugal and stashing it aways and letting it earn interest... (pg40)
My Sentence: I have a whole box of chocolate stash under my bed.
I determine the context clues was by my logic.

Summa cum laude (N): with highest praise: used in diplomas to grant the highest of three special honors for grades above the average.
Orginal sentence: "I had the world dicked- Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude and president of the student body and a full ride scholarship for grad studies at harvard" (pg41)
My Sentence: I have the summa cum laude on going transferring to UCLA and study phsycology.
I determine the context clue by an example in the book.

Jingo (N): one who is extremely patriotic
Orginal sentence: Or some dumb jingo in his hard hat and Bomb Hanoi button... (pg42)
My Sentence: After 9/11 many people became extremley patriotic even my father who had always been a sord of jingo.
I determine the context clues was by my logic.
